A BIOSAFE PROGRAM FOR A LATE BLIGHT OUTBREAK

INCLUDING IMMEDIATE & PREVENTATIVE MEASURES FOR CONVENTIONAL AND ORGANIC CROPS

In Order to Be Successful During an Outbreak of Late Blight

You Need to Treat Early and Often and be Proactive, Not Reactive.

If there has been a late blight warning in your area you should prepare for an outbreak; if you have seen the tell-tale signs of the pathogen on your on field you must take immediate action in order to control it. Because late blight spreads so easily during only moderate temperatures, slight wind and splashes of rain it can devastate a crop very quickly.

It’s important to treat early and often to be proactive vs reactive because the longer you wait, the more expensive it gets – both in loss and treatment.

OxiPhos and OxiDate 2.0 – Options for a Successful Attack Against P. infestans

OxiPhos — Systemic Fungicide For Use Against Phytopthera infestans Through a Unique Dual M.O.A.

OxiPhos is a combination of phosphorous acid and activated peroxide that provides a one-two punch against diseases. The activated peroxide helps the phosphorous acid active ingredient to have a broader effect on targeted organisms. OxiPhos can be used throughout the growing season to prevent and control diseases caused by the oomycete group of pathogens.

  • OxiPhos has a dual mode of action: Systemic and Contact.Systemic Action:
Potassium salts of Phosphorus Acid, also called Potassium Phosphite, metabolize inside the plants into phosphorus acid. Phosphorus Acid inhibits oxidative phosphorylation in the metabolism of oomycetes and blocks essential pathogen enzymes limiting pathogen growth directly. Potassium phosphite has also shown to enhance the natural defense system of plants.
  • Contact Action:
Hydrogen Peroxide, upon contact with pathogens, oxidizes components of cell membrane resulting in increased cell permeability and eventual death.
