FAQs: OxiDate Broad Spectrum Bactericide/Fungicide
- Q: Is OxiDate compatible with other fungicides?
- A: OxiDate is chemically compatible with many other common pesticides, insecticides and fertilizers. It will generally not be compatible with products containing the following active ingredients: copper, magnesium/zinc, magnesium/copper and aluminum. If in doubt, mix a small amount of the finished solutions together to check for volatility, or apply OxiDate before another chemical. Never mix the OxiDate concentration with another chemical concentration. If in doubt, always apply OxiDate before the other product.
- Q: Can I mix OxiDate with my fertilizers?
- A: In its dilute state, OxiDate is compatible with most fertilizers. However, never mix the OxiDate concentration with the fertilizer concentration.
- Q: Is OxiDate compatible with my chemical injector?
- A: OxiDate is compatible with commonly used injectors such as Dosatron, Dosmatic and Anderson.
- Q: What is the shelf life of OxiDate?
- A: OxiDate will retain its efficacy as long as there is nothing for it to react with. It is important to keep the container closed and stock tank solutions covered. Freezing will not have an effect on OxiDate. OxiDate test strips can be used to verify stock tank rates, if necessary.
- Q: Is OxiDate registered in California?
- A: Yes. We are now registered in the great state of California.
- Q: Where else is OxiDate registered?
- A: At this time it is only registered in the United States and in Canada under a registration for use in potato storages.
- Q: If I'm an organic farmer, do you have any products that I can use?
- A: Yes, OxiDate is OMRI listed for organic treatment.
- Q: Is OxiDate the same as Hydrogen Peroxide?
- A: No. OxiDate has a proprietary blend of stabilizers and buffering agents that allow it to be applied to plant material without danger of phytotoxicity to seedlings. Commercial hydrogen peroxide is highly unstable, and will quickly breakdown and lose its efficacy when exposed to organics and ultraviolet light.
