Food Safety Sales Representative (Oxnard, Bakersfield, Yuma)

BioSafe systems is a family owned company based in East Hartford, CT servicing the food industry from Field to Fork. We are looking for an experienced professional technical sales person to help further develop our food safety product line for both raw and processing facilities for vegetables, leafy greens, fruit and nuts.

We are looking for goal-oriented, competitive, and sales-minded talent to join our growing company. BioSafe Systems is expanding our footprint within the produce and food processing industry and needs a motivated person who can operate independently and interact with both Corporate Executives and Food Safety Managers in the Southern California and Arizona region.

Role Purpose:

  • Builds profitable sales and awareness within the Food Safety and produce processing market and demonstrates commitment to prospecting and new business development.
  • Employs a consultative sales approach that focuses on building a long term, value-based relationship with accounts, penetrating them for further business and maximizing the margin they create while reducing the time and costs in managing them.

Responsibilities:

  • Enhance BioSafe Systems position within the industry using consultative and in-depth selling at all levels within the account
  • Prospect for new business; conduct sales calls and actively grow the size of your territory
  • Maintain a clear updated view of your sales pipeline
  • Grow the size of territory in accordance with targets
  • Provide customer technical support and consultant services to increase our overall value to the customer
  • Communicate clearly as needed with all BioSafe Team members and customer contacts are aware of account activity and any actions required to successfully service the customer.
  • Build effective customer relationships through business calls and effective customer entertainment
  • Able to give presentations to corporate executives within the industry and at Food Safety Conference.
  • Commitment to safety, both personal and of your colleagues

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of sales experience in the food safety industry with a proven track record of success
  • Experience and working knowledge with FSMA, HACCP and GAP
  • Working experience with Food Safety SOP programs for both raw and food processing facilities is highly desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree (Food Safety, Technical Science, Agriculture, Chemistry preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate an extensive network of contacts
  • Ability to give professional presentations to customers and within the industry
  • Demonstrated experience as both an effective leader and team player
  • Candidates with extensive Food Safety working experience (10 +years) without sales experience will be considered if they demonstrate an ability and desire to be in a technical sales position

Project / Service Manager (East Hartford)

BioSafe Systems is a family owned company based in East Hartford CT and is looking for a Manager of Outside Services.

BioSafe Systems is one of the country’s leading manufactures and developers of Sustainable Crop Protection, Food Safety and Water treatment products. Our customers are located all throughout North America and we have four production plants located in the Midwest, West Coast and Southeast.

The Outside Services Manager responsibilities is to manage our outside service technicians that are installing injection and monitoring equipment in our customers locations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Travel to customer sites to provide service on site walk through’s and inspections to enhance current operations or to create new applications and services.
  • Document field service activities
  • Conduct surveys and prepare proposals and bids
  • Manage the outside service group to schedule work, installations and business opportunities
  • Work with in house process engineers to optimize existing products
  • Identify potential new accounts

Qualifications include:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
  • A background in plant operations, water treatment, food processing or mechanical installations and project management.
  • Knowledge of potable water systems, plumbing and electrical is a plus
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Field Service Technician (Oxnard, Bakersfield, Yuma)

We are looking for an experienced Technician to service and maintain commercial chemical injection and process systems. This full-time position requires a career-oriented person who wants to be part of a dynamic team servicing the agricultural, poultry and meat industries.

BioSafe Systems manufactures food safety products based on peroxyacetic acid chemistry for the vegetable/fruit produce and processing facilities, water treatment, meat and poultry market segments. We are a family business servicing all of North America and we are building a team of professionals to help us grow the company.

Applicants must have experience and motivation to perform the following job functions:

  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Experience with chemical injection pumps and dosing/monitoring systems
  • Troubleshooting and diagnose plumbing and chemical injection systems
  • General mechanical aptitude
  • Good understanding of electrical controls
  • Enjoy customer interaction and building customer relations
  • Complete and submit accurate service reports for work preformed
  • Ability to communicate well with customers to maintain long-term relationships

Basic Requirements:

  • Must be willing to travel 75% of the time with frequent overnight stays when needed

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Sell entire product line to be used in green industry applications.
  • Create and manage distributor and end user relationships.
